me and my town autumn 2008
As part of Neyland's rite of passage community heritage and public art project 50 year 6 pupils from Neyland Community School participated in a 6 week visual arts project exploring themselves, their town and its connections with the wider world.
The work came together in a series of panels that were displayed in Neyland as part of a touring multimedia exhibition.

narberth food festival education day 2008
Working with over 120 primary school children a series of seven transfer-printed silk flags were made during the festival education day.
The flags were designed around different groups of food from herbs and spices through to bread and cakes and each child contributed an original design to one of the flags which were then used to decorate the festival site throughout the weekend. |
bluestone 2008
An arts and crafts training programme was designed and delivered for junior rangers alongside the provision of twice weekly painting classes for vistors.
The team of junior rangers was trained to deliver a range of arts and crafts activities including: lantern-making; floating lanterns; transfer printed windsocks and flags; butterflies and masks |
carnival of the sea pembroke dock summer 2008
With the help of over 200 participants in ten community and school workshops, a miraculous break in a day of otherwise unseasonably atrocious weather and the magnificent Samba Tawe, the community of Pembroke Dock took the space to create a colourful and noisy celebration of midsummer, in a visually spectacular and moving... carnival of the sea

rite of passage 2008-2010
Rite of passage is an ongoing community heritage and public art project that has been developed in partnership with the Brunel Festival Association with the goal of commissioning a world-class permanent public art work for the town.
This first phase of the project involved working with the community on a series of linked projects using the visual arts, film and music to explore neylands historic links with ireland.

fairtrade fortnight 2008
Community arts workshops took place during fairtrade fortnight in Broadhaven and Pembroke to raise awareness of fairtrade.
Basic techniques were used such as potato prints to make colourful banners, flags and bandanas with the fairtrade logo as a central theme.

one world week 2007
Working in partnership with global connections colourful banners were designed and made to raise awareness of the bicentenary of the abolition of the slave trade.
The banners were made in a series of workshops with community groups in Milford Haven and Pembroke Dock.

pembroke dock midsummer festival 2007
A midsummer night's dream provided the theme for the second pembroke dock midsummer festival procession.
Oberon and Titania the king and queen of the fairies appeared as giant processional puppets and were accompanied by sprites and fairies made by children in a series of workshops in local schools.
